Gaia
Lead character
A beautiful and environmentally conscious young woman who becomes the personification of Earth's suffering.
In the role of GAIA, Florence Thompstone is a London-based actress and model, born and brought-up in a small town in Wales.
She has experience with Netflix, ITV and the BBC through making conncetions and working hard. Alongside acting, her long-term goal and passion, Flo also holds a science degree from UCL.
This project is really important to her as its main message being about climate change and the environment is something she holds very close to her heart, especially being from the countryside and growing up on beaches and in the sea. 🌊
Jane
Supporting character
A young rebelious free spirit. She like rock music and does not care about other people opinions.
In the supporting role of JANE (Gaia's housemate) is Karine Tomoeda, a half-french and half-Japanese actress and model. After concluding her studies in Modern Foreign Languages, Karine started as a teacher, but she soon discovered her passion for acting and decided to "give it a try".
Her positivity and never-ending enthusiasm got her in numerous short films, including award-winning "The Callback" and "Let It Brie".
Karine decided to get involved in 'Black Flowers' as she felt the urgency of spreading this important message. She hopes it will make people more aware of our dear old planet. 🌎
